Meeting other like minded graduates the mini residency weekends have become my safe place to ask all the stupid questions, share my successes and failures, learn heaps and feel more connected to the dental community. The laughs and coffees are an added bonus!

I found the treatment planning workshop transformational in how I think about treatment planing. I;ve realized that treatment planning is not a single tooth solution, we need to look at the entire mouth. The presentations by Steve and Eli were great and the day went by before I knew it!

Leaving university, I thought I was adequately prepared for some great comprehensive dentistry in the real world. A few short weeks later I discovered that I was great at filling teeth, but I barely knew how to talk to patients, or treatment plan anything comprehensive. The mini residency gave me essential tools that I could use the very next day at work. Most importantly, I learnt how to diagnose and plan a comprehensive course of care “with” the patient and not “for” the patient. I would recommend this program for every graduate - as prepared as you think you may be, 4 or 5 years at dental school is just not enough to encompass all of the complexities of dentistry, and this is definitely a great start.
